Telegram Guide

The Front Desk

Copy carefully. Capital letters, spaces, and invisible password/token input can matter.

Telegram is where you talk to your agents. Think of it as the Front Desk of your AI Agent Office.

Telegram = Front Desk

The clean chat interface where you send messages and receive replies.

Telegram Bot = Receptionist

A small program that sits at the Front Desk and passes your messages to the agent.

Bot Token = Receptionist Password

A secret code that lets the bot log in and work. If the password changes, the receptionist cannot start their shift.

Common Issues

  • Wrong bot: You might be talking to a different bot. Check the bot name and username.
  • Bot token changed: If you regenerated the token in BotFather, the old one stops working. Update it in your config.
  • Bot not responding: Try /status first.
  • Agent service not responding: The Telegram bot may be working, but the AI agent service it is connected to may be down. Depending on your setup, that could be Hermes, OpenClaw, or another agent service.
